Government Contact Center (GCC 1111)

       Government Contact Center (GCC 1111), under the supervision of Permanent Secretary Office of Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, is aware of and gives importance to personal data protection of all people and visitors who make contact with and receive services from GCC 1111.

       In pursuant to the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019) and relevant laws, this privacy notice is prepared to inform the operations performed on the personal data of data subjects (owners of the personal data), such as collection, use, disclosure including the rights of data subjects. In this regard, Government Contact Center (GCC 1111) shall oversee and manage the personal data of data subjects to be compliant with the safety and security standard of the Personal Data Protection Act and relevant laws.

Definition

       “Personal data” means any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to name-surname, identification number, telephone number, Email address, Cookie ID, etc.

       “Personal Data Controller” is an ordinary person or a juristic person who has the power and duties to make decision regarding the collection, use, or disclosure of personal data.

       “Personal Data Processor” is an ordinary person or a juristic person who deals with personal data as instructed by a controller for specific purposes and services offered to the controller that involve personal data processing.

Personal Data Collection

       Personal data collected, used, or disclosed by Government Contact Center (GCC 1111) may vary depending on models and characteristics of service uses or service communications in general. Government Contact Center (GCC 1111) shall collect personal data from data subjects directly and shall collect personal data as needed and use in accordance with the legitimate purposes specified or in pursuant to the legal requirements for collecting such data.

Purposes of collecting, using, and disclosing personal data

       Government Contact Center (GCC 1111) shall collect personal data under legitimate purposes for public benefits with the provision of the safety and security measure of personal data as prescribed by the law.

    • To provide data services and receive procedural complaints in an efficient manner. In this regard, if personal data informed is inaccurate, relevant government agencies shall not be able to implement problem solving and provide assistance in a fast and proper manner to meet the requirements.
    • To serve the benefits of making contact, coordinating, and following up with relevant government agencies.
    • To inquire about and assess understanding, demands, and satisfaction of service receivers.
    • To serve the benefits of analysis and processing including service quality development and improvement.
    • To inform news and information to supervising agencies and the government sector having legal authority.
    • To follow the laws and/or any circumstances for the purposes of legitimate interest.
    • To serve other purposes specified by the laws for collecting, using, and disclosing personal data without consent from the data subjects.

Retention period for personal data

    1. In the event that personal data is collected according to activities or services associated with the mission of Government Contact Center (GCC 1111), Permanent Secretary Office of Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, it shall be retained in accordance with the Regulation of the Office of the Prime Minister on Document Management or Relevant Approaches.
    2. In the event that personal data is computer traffic data, it shall be retained in accordance with the Computer Crime Act B.E. 2550 (2007) and the Amendment to the Computer Crime Act (No.2) B.E. 2560 (2017).

The use or disclosure of personal data

    1. Government Contact Center (GCC 1111) shall use personal data of data subjects as needed for making contact with, providing data services, news or transferring data to relevant government agencies for implementing problem solving or providing assistance, and conducting a survey on the opinions of data subjects towards service providing of Government Contact Center (GCC 1111) and other operations in pursuant to the purposes specified above only.
    2. Government Contact Center (GCC 1111) shall not disclose personal data unless the disclosure is in compliance with the duties and authorities of Permanent Secretary Office of Ministry of Digital Economy and Society or the obligations of relevant contracts or laws and other regulations.
    3. In the case that Permanent Secretary Office of Ministry of Digital Economy and Society hires other agencies to implement the processing of data subjects’ personal data, such as statistical analysis within the scope of work of Government Contact Center (GCC 1111), Permanent Secretary Office of Ministry of Digital Economy and Society shall ascertain the agencies hired to preserve the confidentiality of the personal data and any use of the personal data outside the activities or mission determined by Permanent Secretary Office of Ministry of Digital Economy and Society is prohibited whereas the safety and security measure for the protection of the collected personal data is available as specified by the law.

Rights of data subjects

       Permanent Secretary Office of Ministry of Digital Economy and Society is aware of the rights of data subjects as prescribed in the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019). Data subjects are able to exercise the rights as prescribed by the law as follow:

    • The right to the withdrawal of consent.
    • The right to access personal data.
    • The right to object to the collection, use or disclosure of personal data.
    • The right to personal data erasure/destruction.
    • The right to request the restriction or suppression of the personal data.
    • The right to rectify the personal data.
    • The right to personal data portability.
    • The right to be informed.

Safety and security of personal data

       For the sake of the safety and security of personal data of data subjects, Government Contact Center (GCC 1111), Permanent Secretary Office of Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, prescribes the internal regulations for the agencies in order to determine the right to access personal data of data subjects and to preserve the confidentiality and information security in accordance with the safety and security practices of Permanent Secretary Office of Ministry of Digital Economy and Society. In this regard, website visitors are required to fill information and Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol is used to provide security over internet communications.

The use of Cookies

       “Cookies” are small text files that Government Contact Center (GCC 1111), Permanent Secretary Office of Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, sends to a web browser by a website. When cookies are installed on users’ devices and as soon as they are used, GCC 1111 website shall record or remember users’ information until the users close the browser or delete or block those ‘cookies”. If users accept “cookies”,   the cookies shall make it convenient for users to enter a website as they help recognize the websites that users visit.
